Saipem Contracting Nigeria Limited (SCNL) is a subsidiary of SAIPEM S.PA., a global leader in Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation and Project Management in the Energy Sector. Due to increasing workload and expansion of our Onshore activities in Nigeria, we are seeking for highly qualified, pro-active, fast learning, well organized and motivated Personnel to reinforce our team.

1) CIVIL SUPERINTENDENT (CVSPD)

RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise the execution of civil works, both performed by subcontractors or in direct hiring, ensuring full compliance with safety and quality standards and procedures and verify that works are correctly carried out in accordance with project documentation and in the planned time frame. Support the civil sub-contractors or the direct hiring personnel ensuring the feasibility (availability of drawings and materials) of the works.

REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS
• Good understanding of auxiliary power building plants and fire protection equipment installations.
• Ability to read and interpret civil technical project documents, such as bar bending schedule (BBS) formworks, foundation plans and geotechnical reports,
• Knowledge of concrete works (pouring/protection/ backfilling), concrete precast and awareness of concrete types and their uses.
• Knowledge of the main international construction standards, codes and regulations.
• Knowledge of contract schemes and technical annexes/clauses.
• Knowledge of excavation methodologies, procedures and equipment. Knowledge of methodologies, procedures and equipment for trenching and reinstatement of soil.
• Knowledge of fireproofing procedures and equipment.
• Understanding and application of HSE Project Plan and deployments of permit to work system and risk assessment programmes
• Familiarity with road construction (sub-base, base and finishing layers, asphalt application) and with paved area execution (construction and expansion joint).
• Ability to plan assigned project team activities defining technical roles and tasks and estimating the needed number of resources and their skills, in order to meet project milestones and targets.
• Understanding and application of a project execution and construction plan.
• Familiarity with Project QA/QC plan and methods, procedures and requirements for the related application.
• Familiarity with measurement methodologies and material quantities, in order to control the progress and related costs.
• Knowledge of methodologies for topographic coordinates calculation (elevation and plan) and of site topographic survey and calculation reports.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
• A University degree or a Higher National Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years experience in civil works and facility operations in oil and gas EPCI projects.
• Knowledge of relevant software.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.


2) MECHANICAL SUPERINTENDENT (MSPD)

RESPONSIBILITIES
Organize, coordinate and control the execution of the mechanical works, both performed by subcontractors or in direct hiring, ensuring the management of the interfaces with all construction disciplines and engineering departments, overseeing the availability of the construction materials and equipment and verifying that works are correctly carried out in accordance with project documentation and schedule.


REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS
• Knowledge of the main international construction standards, codes and regulations.
• Understanding and application of HSE Project Plan.
• Knowledge of Hydro test and Reinstatement methodologies, procedures and equipment.
• Knowledge of final alignment techniques for rotating equipment, including the alignment of pipes connection to the machinery.
• Knowledge of pipes supports and awareness of foundations and grouting of equipment.
• Knowledge of pipes supports and awareness foundations and grouting of equipment. Knowledge vibration settings and tolerance of machineries.
• Good Knowledge of heavy lifting methodologies.
• Knowledge of prefabrication, fabrication and installation methodologies for piping, piping underground, ste: structures and supports.
• Knowledge of methodologies for the installation of static and rotating equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical project document: such as erection drawings, steel structures drawings
isometrics, standards for supports, P and IDs, piping arrangements, plot plants and underground plot plants.
• Awareness of painting and insulation activities for piping and steel structures.
• Knowledge of methodologies, procedures and Equipment for wrapping, lowering, bending and stringing of pipes.
• Knowledge of the main materials for steel structures, piping, bolts and equipment.
• Understanding and application of project execution and construction plan.
• Familiarity with Project QA/QC plan and methods, procedures and requirements for the related application.
• Familiarity with measurement methodologies and material quantities, in order to control the progress and related costs.
• Knowledge of welding and NOT techniques, procedures (e.g. WPS, PQR) and equipment.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
• A University degree or a Higher National Diploma in Mechanical/Production Engineering
• Minimum of 10 years experience in mechanical engineering, welding, construction and/or operation for oil and gas EPCI projects.
• Knowledge of relevant software.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.

3) ELECTRICAL SUPERINTENDENT (ELSPD)

RESPONSIBILITIES
Organize, coordinate and control the execution of the electrical works, both performed by subcontractors or in direct hiring,
ensuring the management of the interfaces with all construction disciplines and engineering departments, overseeing the availability of the construction materials and equipment and verifying that works are correctly carried out in accordance with project documentation and schedule.

REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS
• Expert in commissioning phases and activities.
• Knowledge of the main international construction standards, codes and regulations.
• Knowledge of contract schemes and technical annexes/clauses.
• Knowledge of methodologies for testing cables. Knowledge of test methodologies for earthing greed and lighting system.
• Knowledge of HV/LV equipment, cathodic protection systems, electrical control systems (IPCS), UPS systems.
• Knowledge of methodologies for testing electrical systems such as MCC, switch gears and transformers.
• Knowledge of set-up procedures of electrical equipment.
• Knowledge of typical installations for electrical activities; Cable pulling and dressing, cable termination, earthing
greed, cathodic protection, lighting systems and electrical equipment.
• Understanding and application ofHSE Project Plan.
• Ability to plan assigned project team activities defining technical roles and tasks and estimating the needed
number of resources and their skills, in order to meet project milestones and targets.
• Understanding and application of a project execution and construction plan. Capability to execute the assigned activities in order to achieve the scheduled targets.
• Familiarity with Project QA/OC plan and methods, procedures and requirements for the related application.
• Familiarity with measurement methodologies and material quantities, in order to control the progress and related costs.
• Knowledge of installation sequences for substation equipment (switchboards and transformers).
• Troubleshooting analysis expertise during pre- commissioning and commissioning.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
• A University degree or a Higher National Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years experience in electrical engineering operations for oil and gas EPCI projects.
• Knowledge of relevant software.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.

4) COMMISSIONING MANAGER

RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure the execution of activities concerning pre- commissioning, commissioning, start up, test run and handing
over of the plant to the Client according to contractual requirements and project objectives in terms of safety, quality,
budget and schedule.

REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS
• Crude Distillation Units, Aromatic Production Units, Gasoline Production Units, Cracking Units, Lubricant Production Units, Natural Gas Processing Units, Sulphur Recovery Unit, Synthesis Gas Production and Purification Units, Fertilizers and Chemicals, Monomers and Polymers, Oxygenates, Environmental, Power Generation Units, etc.
• Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Maintenance Engineering and Commissioning Engineering.
• Ability to plan assigned project team activities defining technical roles and tasks in order to handle project scope of work.
• Plan engineering activities and documentation deliverables in order to meet project schedule milestones, considering design workflows and engineering interfaces with all other project disciplines and functions.
• Knowledge of key principles governing the management of a project, such as planning and control, contract change management, interface management, material procurement lifecycle etc.
• Knowledge of Fabrication and Installation Techniques, Maintenance Techniques, Training Methodologies, Commissioning and Start-up Techniques.
• User level knowledge of Corporate and Operating Centre Discipline technical design software tools.
• User level knowledge of Corporate and Operating Centre IT tools supporting business processes such as electronic document system management, procurement and office automation applications.
• Mechanical and chemical cleaning. Flushing, lubrication, seal and control circuits of machinery with resins, inert materials, chemicals and catalysts. Refractory dry out. Box-up of equipment inspection. Completion of internal assembly (
equipment. DCS/ESD/PLC dry tests (configuration and field response of loops). Checking calibration of installed instruments.
• Checking calibration of installed instruments and instrumentation and electric systems.
• Tests of mechanical and pneumatic control system:
• Execution of operations necessary for units start-up;
• Execution of test run activities and preparation of marked as-built drawings, for the specific activities.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
• A University Degree in Mechanical Engineering Instrumentation or Process Engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years experience in Offshore Commissioning.
• Knowledge of commissioning software ( ICAPS) mandatory
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
